Light Observation Entry 1

(ps: the color contrast has been altered by the uploader)

I shot this picture by using my digital camera, Canon PowerShot SX50 HS. This picture was taken by setting the camera f-stop to f/3.4, ISO to 80 and 1/200 shutter speed. The only light source in this picture is the soft sunlight coming from the window, which is patterned by the window frame and blinds. Since the sunlight is not strong and direct, there is only one light pattern showing in the picture, which brightens up the back corner of the chair. Overall, the outdoor view can be seen through the window and is well exposed.  In comparison, all the objects in the room are under exposed. It is hard to see the details and shadows on the wall and the table. The book, a sticky note and the frame of the poster reflect more light are brighter than other objects in the very dark right side of the picture.
